Gracie Jiu -JitsuGracie (Brazilian) Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a highly effective self-defense system of ground fighting. It is designed to allow a smaller, weaker person to defend his or her self in a real world situation that goes to the ground. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu does this by the detailed study of correct body mechanics, timing and placement. This is good for you the student because the methods are not based one strength or speed so the skills will not fade as will strength and speed. This is also in line with the self-defense mindset of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu meaning you training should prepare you for a street encounter where you don’t get to choose what weight class you will be fighting in.
Kickboxing We not only instruct on the use of punches and kicks but also precise knees and elbows. Great program to build amazing cardio as well as develop your stand up skills.
Childrens ProgramsWe currently take children aged 9-14. We teach submission holds for the purpose of controlling an opponent , but will not be taught any chokes or potentially lethal techniques until they are old enough to be promoted into adult classes. The children’s classes , as well as all adult classes will be fun and free of intimidation by instructors or other students.
Yoga FitYogaFit® classes involve linking poses together to create greater strength, endurance, balance, and flexibility while providing participants with a safe, judgment-free, stress-free, and inclusive environment. Participants are encouraged to go at their own pace and stay present in each moment. Class consists of warm-up, work, and cool down (deep stretching) as well as 5 – 10 minutes of final relaxation. YogaFit® is designed for everybody in every body.
